Meet Dr. Jaci

Jaci Zarabba, PsyD

Licensed Psychologist and Certified School Psychologist

Background

I specialize in neurodevelopmental, psychological, and psychoeducational evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults.

My work centers on understanding your child as a whole person: their strengths, what is difficult for them, and what may be contributing to those difficulties. I bring together testing, clinical observations, developmental history, and experiences at home and school to understand why your chid is struggling and what will help them function at their best. My goal is for you to leave with greater clarity and confidence in how to support your child, grounded in recommendations that reflect who they are and what they need.

    Collaboration

I approach this work collaboratively. The questions you and your child bring help shape the evaluation, and your observations are essential to understanding what the findings mean in everyday life. With your permission, I also work with teachers, therapists, and other providers to incorporate their knowledge of your child. I personally conduct every evaluation, allowing me to connect what I learn through our conversations with what I observe directly during testing.

    The Experience

I pay close attention to the experience of being evaluated. Building rapport, explaining what we are doing, and responding to a child’s questions and needs create space for them to participate comfortably and show how they think. Their interests, problem-solving approaches, reactions to challenges, and understanding of themselves all contribute to the picture.

Feedback

Feedback is a central part of my approach. I translate complex findings into a clear explanation of your child’s strengths, vulnerabilities, and support needs. We discuss recommendations in the context of your family’s priorities and circumstances, with guidance about where to begin. With parent permission, I also offer feedback directly to children and adolescents, helping them make sense of their learning, cognitive, and emotional profile in a way that supports self-understanding and confidence.

Training and Experience

I earned my Doctor of Psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2010. Assessment has been a central focus of my professional work, with particular emphasis on understanding complex presentations and translating findings into meaningful guidance for families. Alongside my clinical work, I am an associate professor at the Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology, where I teach and supervise doctoral students in psychological assessment.

My goal is for your family to leave with a fuller understanding of your child and a clearer sense of how to support them.
